Disney’s Amphibia premiered on Monday, June 17th along with an awesome action-RPG game developed by Workinman Interactive. The game was designed by the Workinman HTML5 games team, who specializes in cross-platform browser games using a high performance engine and high resolution custom art.
“Guys, this game turned out so fun!!” said Matt Braly, the show’s creator and executive producer, “@WorkinmanGaming did an incredible job bring the shows and characters to life…”
The animated series follows the adventures of a self-centered 13-year-old Thai-American girl named Anne Boonchuy. After stealing a mysterious treasure chest, she is magically transported to Amphibia, a wild marshland full of talking frog-people. She soon teams up with a young frog named Sprig Plantar, who guides her throughout her journey to become a hero of Wartwood.
In Workinman-designed HTML5 web-game game Amphibia: Locust Pocus, it’s your job to guide Anne and Sprig on their quest to help the villagers of Wartwood in the aftermath of nasty locust attack! In order to restore the town back to its former glory, Anne and Sprig must brave massive treacherous swamps, searching in every barrel, crate, and bush to uncover items needed to fix the far-reaching damage caused by the locust swarm.
Be wary, however.. a giant heron stalks the swamps and can appear at any moment to pack at you from above. Luckily, our adventuring duo will find superbly delicious beetle jerky out in the wild, that will give them the much needed energy and drive to ward off any challenge. It’s a hilarious casual adventure enjoyable by all ages for desktop or mobile. Fire up your browser and play Amphibia: Locust Pocus exclusively on Disney Now.
